At The FinIQ Initiative, our mission has always been simple: make financial education engaging, accessible, and empowering for young people. Today, we're incredibly grateful to celebrate two major milestones that recognize the impact of that mission.

Second Place in the 2025 CFGL Spirit of Service Competition

We are honored to share that The FinIQ Initiative earned Second Place in the 2025 Spirit of Service Competition hosted by the Center for Future Global Leaders (CFGL). The competition recognizes student-led projects that create meaningful, measurable impact in their communities through service and leadership. Our founder, Mahima Ramachandran, was recognized as the national second-place recipient for her vision and work through The FinIQ Initiative.

This recognition affirms what we've believed from the beginning: financial literacy is a form of service. Helping young people build confidence with money today creates stronger, more resilient communities tomorrow.

"My Two Cents" Named a Finalist at the MAIA Awards

We're also excited to announce that our podcast, My Two Cents, was selected as one of only 11 finalists worldwide in the Content Creators category at the 2025 Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards (MAIAs).

The MAIAs received more than 200 entries from 45 countries, making this recognition especially meaningful. Being shortlisted alongside outstanding global initiatives is an incredible honor and reflects the growing importance of making financial education engaging, relatable, and accessible for young audiences.

Through My Two Cents, we've had the opportunity to explore real-world money topics, interview inspiring guests, and provide practical financial insights for teens and young adults. Every episode is created with the goal of helping listeners build not just financial knowledge, but financial confidence.

A Shared Achievement

These recognitions belong to everyone who has supported The FinIQ Initiative. Your encouragement, feedback, and belief in our mission have made these accomplishments possible. While we're proud of these awards, we see them as motivation rather than a finish line. There is still so much work to do to ensure every young person has access to high-quality financial education, regardless of their background.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We're excited for what's ahead and look forward to continuing to empower the next generation with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions.

Here's to many more conversations, resources, and opportunities to make financial literacy accessible for all.
