On September 10, 2024, we had the opportunity to present at Monument Crisis Center in Concord, California. We presented "From Piggy Banks to Real Banks" to a group of middle school students. The presentation was an introduction to bank accounts and cards, as well as, the basics of budgeting and saving. Students were taught the steps of opening a bank account, how to use it, and the importance of having a bank account. In relation to bank accounts, we also covered the difference between debit and credit cards. Finally, we discussed the importance of saving and budgeting strategies that students can use in their daily lives. We finished our time at Monument Crisis Center with a Q&A session and sharing fun prizes and takeaways for the students!

We are very grateful to Monument Crisis Center for giving us the opportunity to do this presentation!
